Our hearts are heavy as we share that our mom and David’s beloved wife, Janis Mae Simons (Brokke), passed away peacefully on October 7th, 2025, after a courageous journey with Alzheimer’s.
Born on November 17th, 1951, in Minneapolis, Mom had a kind heart, a fierce spirit, and a playful sense of humor that could light up any room. She was both modest and joyful, and her quiet faith touched everyone who crossed her path.
A celebration of her life will be held Friday, October 17th at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (101 Buffalo Hills Lane, Brainerd, MN), with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be on Monday October 20, 2025 at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls at 11:00 a.m.
