Kathleen and I sat near one another in homeroom, the result of one of those alphabet ways of being efficient and orderly. I remember her bright, infectious laugh. But what I especially remember about her is the experience of being chemistry class partners. It wasn't an equal partnership. She did the heavy lifting. As I recall, she helped other classmates with various subjects, too. I think she enjoyed the role and it was definitely helpful. I can still hear her sigh and explain yet again some chem concept. She was generous with her time, and (mostly) patient!  - RIP, Kathleen.
