Patti, you're gone ... and too soon. I remember our Telemark and Aspen ski trips, our blue concourse antics at the airport on New Years Eve, our furtive outings, along with ME Sieracki, to the Scholar to see Langston Hughes Memorial Eclectic Improvisational Jazz Exposition. Hydraulic Brake Fluid? I was sure they said Hydraulic Grapefruit. I thought of you this past weekend when I heard Leo Kottke in Breckenridge. He remembered playing before Langston Hughes and said they actually cut a record with the Scholar's tiny Oblivion label before he did. You and I had much to discuss and remember, Patooti. Rest in peace.

I'm also sorry to learn of Patti's death. She was so much fun and had energy to spare with her lovely dancing and much more. Because she lived mere blocks from me, her father took pity and drove me to school on mornings when it was pouring rain or icy cold - which were many! Their generosity was very much appreciated. I'm so sorry we lost touch.

Oh Pat was someone I was hoping to get to see after all these years.  She was such a fun, sweet girl.  Gone way too soon.  I remember she had a great canopy bed that I thought was so cool.
