Al Halley > Peter Graves
Thanks to Carol Punyko for sending in a scan from an old Arrow - It was looked up in our Arrow Archives and what really caught my eye was this article for Al Halley appearing on the old "This Is Your Life" TV show where the subject was Peter Graves - from - at that time - Mission Impossible (well before Airplane![]()
![]()
. The Arrow article states that the show wasn't carried in Minneapolis at that time, so all of you Track peeps may have never seen it.
I thought it MAY be on You Tube and a quick search yeilded the whole show. (It would be embedded here, but that link actually has to run thru the ad based You Tube in a new window. The link is below the short clip.)

I remember the photo below of Peter Graves (then Aurness) winning the '43 and '44 state high hurdle championship for Southwest, hanging over Mr. Adams room (or was it Fredrickson's?), just accross from 'the speech lab'. And I also remember thinking that "The star of Mission Impossible went to this very school!!". My first memory of being 'Star Struck' (well, after Casey Jones and Dave Lee & Pete as a Cub Scout.)

Link to the You Tube video is below. Kinda fun seeing Al Halley again.
By my estimate, he would have been 67 or 68 in this video.
This is just a short clip. Use the link below this clip to see the full show with Al's stories about Graves.
