Scott, all the years in school, from Emma Dickinson to Hellgate, you were one classy guy. Over the last 30 years your memory has never left my mind. I still have pictures from birthday parties of mine you attended back in the early years of grade school. You've always been missed.
I just returned from my son's graduation, and it amazes me how I thought of Scott so much today. When I remember our graduation, I don't remember it being a happy occasion because we all loved Scott so much and couldn't believe he had died. I hope his family knows how special he was to many of us. I miss him.....
LIke many others I have thought about Scott alot and have told the story to my own kids. I dont have one bad memory of him. Curly hair, great bright eyes and a very talented athlete and student. Amazing how some things dont leave you.
it was through Scotts friendship and death that i came to know Christ as my savior. I look forward to seeing Scotty again one day. Scott Klaudt was one of my best friends in school. Memories are still bitter sweet. His death impacted the entire state. It took on special meaning for me when Niel (scotts dad) asked me to assist at the funeral. It was a cold rainy June day in 1980 when his father stood at the graveside of his youngest boy and delivered the most powerful message i have ever heard. Without a shadow of doubt he proclaimed that Scott knows Jesus Christ as his lord and savior and was not dead but was more alive now than ever befor and residing now in heaven. He made the statement with such confidence that I knew this man had something i wanted. Approximately one week later i found myself at Niel Klaudts house and recieved Christ while nealing down in his living room. Scotts life and death touched many, but for me it was life changing.
