
Ronald Mark Dorsett, 18, R. 2, Mitchell, died in a one-vehicle accident at 12:25 AM Sunday on Ind 37, three miles north of Mitchell. Dorsett, the son of Ronald and Brenda Dorsett, R. 2 Mitchell, died of a fractured skull according to Dr. Wallace Johnson, Lawrence County coroner. A graduate of Mitchell High School with the class of 1985, Dorsett was southbound on Ind 37 in a 1986 T-Top Transam when the vehicle left the road in front of the Richard Hattabaugh residence, knocked down a number of mailboxes, flipped several times and came to rest on its top in front of the Bobby Brown residence.
He was born Sept. 3, 1967 in Washington County, the son of Ronald and Brenda Thralls Dorsett. He was employed at Stone CIty Products in Bedforad and was a member of the Mitchell Church of Christ.
Survivors, in addition to the parents, iclude the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thralls, Rt 3, Orleans; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Dorsett, R. 2, Mitchell; and the maternal great-grandmosther, Ruth Westfall of Campbellsburg.
Funerla services are scheduled at 1 PM Tuesday at Haverly Mortuary, with Bro Ron Bartanen and Bro Howard Burris officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call at the mortuary from noon to 9 PM today and 9 AM until the funeral hour Tuesday.
