Allan E. Davis, 65, of St. Petersburg, Fla., passed away at his home on Jan. 3, 2014.
Memorial services will be held March 27 at Central United Methodist Church in Albuquerque, N.M. Memorial donations may be made to the family toward a charity of Al's preference.
"Big Al" was born on Aug. 6, 1948, son of Allan Davis and Helen Howell. He graduated from Moline High School and Northern Illinois University.
He was many things to many people: father, friend, mentor, confidant or just a steady rock to lean on. He was both a student and teacher of art, which he immensely enjoyed sharing with others.
He is survived by his son, Brian Davis, Buckeye, Ariz.; daughter, Courtney Farley, Madison, Ala.; sister, MaryAnne Michelet, Peoria, Ill.; and eight nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Davis.
