Gene McCubbin 76 of Prescott Valley, Arizona passed away Saturday August 10, 2024 peacefully at home with his wife and son by his side. 

Gene was born June 19 1948 in Rock Island, Illinois to Betty and Eugene McCubbin. Gene went to Moline high school where he was a football star. He continued his football playing days at Utah State University.  Gene was an avid sports fan and loved to compete. Gene once bowled back to back perfect games. He also had a hole in one at the Ray Dehman-Fred Walker annual golf tournament.    

Gene met the love of his life Brenda on 3-11-1989. They married on7-2-2001.    

Gene is proceeded in death by his parents Eugene and Betty . Brother Michael, sisters Cindy, Cheryl, and Tambra.
Gene is survived by his wife Brenda, Son Brian his wife Amanda, brother Brian his wife Wanda, sister Michelle her husband Terry, Brother-in-law Terry Thompson (Cheryl's husband), and many nephews and nieces.
