Findley Bell

Finley Ross Bell, Jr

March 15, 1947-November 25, 2021

Finley Ross Bell, Jr, 73 years of age, passed away peacefully on November 25th, 2021, Thanksgiving Day at his daughters' home in Phoenix, Arizona after a long battle with Pulmonary Disease. Finley was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on March 15th, 1947 to Finley Ross Bell, Sr and Nancy L. Bell (Woody) both formerly of Monticello, Kentucky.

Finley was a graduate of Moline High School, Class of 1966.

Finley was the eldest of 5 siblings. To know Finley was to also know his siblings, as they were an intimate part of his life.

He was a deeply devoted son to his mother Nancy and a big brother to his siblings.

Finley entered the workforce at the age of 16 at Franks Foundry, Moline Illinois. He went to high school during the day, and worked the 2nd shift at the foundry, to aid in the support of his mother and younger siblings.

Finley married Marsha Lee Barton (Robison) on March 28th, 1969. Together they welcomed two girls, Heather Lynn in 1969 and Jennifer Rebecca in 1972. Although the marriage ended in divorce, Finley and Marsha remained lifelong friends.

Finley's work career after Franks Foundry was in the medical supply/equipment industry as an Operations Manager. He worked at Schweinburger Surgical Supply in the early 70's and continued his work with Quad City Surgical Supply after the sale of Schweinburger Surgical. Finley and Dale Schweinburger continued their close friendship for nearly 50 years, up until his passing.

Finley had a love for cinema, music and

books. A fan of John Wayne and Frank Sinatra. He loved great quotes from movies and loved movies in general. He was planning his movie viewing schedule the last weekend of his life.

He especially loved to see movies at the cinema and took his young daughters with him routinely regardless of the movie rating!

Finley had a great love of the Midwest seasons, he especially loved the spring and watching his girls fly kites when they were younger. Nothing was better to Finley then a long drive in the fall to see the turning of the leaves.

Although Finley had been ill for many years, those of us that loved him were not ready for his passing on Thanksgiving Day. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and we will mourn and miss him until we are with him again.

Preceding Finley in death are both of his parents, and a great nephew Jaxson Bell.
