
Darrin Dale Johnston, 46, of Colona, died at his home on September 28, 2011.
Darrin was born on August 31, 1965, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Forrest and Julie (Small) Johnston. Darrin was a union painter and dry-waller. He enjoyed helping his family members with remodeling projects. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, and playing cards, and other family activities. He was also a huge Chicago Bears fan. Darrin will be deeply missed.
Darrin is survived by his daughter, Allison, and granddaughter, Delaney. He is also survived by four sisters, Kim, Robin, April, and Lynn, two brothers, Tony and Lonnie, his mother and stepfather, Julie and Allan Hartsock, several nieces and nephews, and a dog Maggie, whom he loved to walk. He was preceded in death by his father, Forrest Johnston, and grandparents, Vern and Lena Small, Everett and Lillian Johnston, and Herman and Lu Hartsock.

I'm sorry to see that Darrin passed away. We went to junior high together and were good friends. He always had a way of making people feel special. I'm sure that your family misses you, Darrin.
