Anthony Hillyer

 Anthony M. "Tony" Hillyer, 31, of 924 40th St. Ct., Moline, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 1995, at Trinity Medical Center, East Campus, Moline. Mr. Hillyer was born July 17, 1964, in Moline, the son of Michael E. and Donna Ronk Hillyer. He was employed at I.M.C. Steel Erectors as a pre-apprentist iron worker. Earlier, he worked as a welding fabricator for IBP. He was a member of Iron Workers Union Local No. 111, Rock Island, and was a former member of Coal Valley Jaycees. He enjoyed the outdoors; was an avid fisherman and hunter; and enjoyed auto mechanics and working on cars with friends and relatives. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Donna and Robert L. Ericson, Moline; his father and stepmother, Michael and Linda Hillyer, Sherrard; sisters and brothers-in-law, Tammy and Ron Kendall, Tampa, Fla., and Diana and Terry Zgabay, Mount Pearl, Newfoundland; brothers and sister-in-law, Chad and Kammie Hillyer, Milan, and Jason Hillyer, Sherrard; and a special friend, Lisa Cary, Milan.

I knew Tony when we were in 4th grade at Sacred Heart. He always got so mad with a bright red face. I do recall he kicked some of the kids asses (with ease). I was sorry to hear he passed.
