David Carsen

David J. Carsen, 51, of Moline died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, in Peoria.

According to David's wishes his body has been cremated. Visitation will be from noon-1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, 6601 38th Ave., Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

David was born Sept. 22, 1953, in Moline, the son of Richard J. and Melva Carol Sellers Carsen.

He was employed as a deck hand at Jumer's Casino, Rock Island, and also worked in the maintenance department at Augustana College.

David graduated from Moline High School in 1971. He enjoyed the CB radio and went by the handle "Big Dave." He also enjoyed camping, fishing and visiting with everyone.

Survivors include his sister, Cindy A. Carsen, Moline; niece, Amy L. (husband, Bob) Glass, Moline; and great-niece, Lindsey N. Glass, Moline. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
