JoAnn Couch Cogburn Lewis
May 26, 1947 - May 6, 2011

JoAnn Cogburn Lewis, 63, of Broken Bow, passed away May 6, 2011 in Idabel. She was born May 26, 1947 in Eagletown, Oklahoma the daughter of Walker W. and Annie M. Turner Couch. JoAnn had lived in McCurtain County most of her life and had worked as an LPN since 1977.
A proud sponsor of St. Jude’s, JoAnn always put others before herself and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Kathy Rose Simpson and Louise Pennington and brothers, Billy Don Parker, R.C. County and Delmer Couch.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Jim Lewis of the home; son, Ricky Foshee of Broken Bow; daughters, Rosetta Ivey and husband Jacky, Joyce Cogburn and Yvette Cogburn all of Broken Bow; brother, Johnny Couch and wife Dian also of Broken Bow; grandchildren, Jaclyn Taylor and husband Jason, Savannah Ivey, Jake Ivey, T.J. Ivey, Brittany Foshee and Jackie Jo Poe; great-grandchildren, Brysen, Payden, Tymperance, Jayden, Braylen, Kaison, Dakota, Caitlyn, Gaige, Lakyn, Kendall and Keagan; nieces, Cheri Simmons, Shannon Johns, DeAnn McMurl, Tonette Thornton; nephew, Jonathon Couch and a host of cousins. She is also survived by her "sister", Linda Gail Owens and a very special friend, Judy "Sissy" Hill.

Joann was my wife , and she always said her years at Monahans were some of the happiest of her life. she would have been so proud of you great folks and how you keep in touch with each other.Of all the school sites ive been on, Monahans is the nicest, I feel that i know each of you, May GOD bless and watch over each and every one of you.
