My sincere condolences are extended to Donna and the family over the passing of Roy Lynn . Roy and I grew up at Wickett and were literally in about every function together. From Cub Scouts to grade school and Sports. We even served in the Military about the same time. People are never prepared to lose a friend or acquaintance when it happens but none the less that is not in our hands. May Roy rest in Peace.

Melba and I was able to make RoyLynn’s service, there was a big crowd of his DoubleDiamond motor cycle club members present as well as his Wife Donna, his brother Randy his family members and friends. Danny Morriss his long time buddy, better known as Ducktape did a very good job on officiating the services. The United States Navy Honor Guard was there to perform their ceremonial services. RoyLynn was the Chaplin for the club. His service was held at the pavilion here in town and, will be buried in the National Cemetery in Abilene. Another life long friend has left us. As the service ended the bagpipes were played softly fading away laying Roy to rest. Salute’

i, like Mike Smith grew up with Roy Lynn in Wickett and was involved in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and neighborhood fusses and every other small town activity. There was one house between us those first years and the Crafts lived there. My condolences to the family. I always enjoyed conversation with Roy Lynn at reunions.

To my cousin Roy Lynn Protor:
We met when we were very young. We hit it off very good and were tight all of our lives. I talked to you a few weeks back and it seemed all was OK, but time has its own set time schedual. I wish we could have visited in person over the years. You served for our nation in the Navy Seabees as an electrician. I am going to miss you, Roy Lynn. When I returned from California, we spent time to the wee hours of the morning visiting doing little things to make the interior of my car like we wanted it to look. We were true buddies, as anybody could be. I remember the night you graduated from High School. I was so proud of you. Rest in peace o'buddy as anyone who served his country as you have.
Your second cousin and friend, Albert Hewett (known to you as Butch).
