How blessed were those of us at the last reunion to see our Jerry for the last time. He was the definition of strength and courage to make that trip to Abilene. His optimism and cheerful outlook on life lifted us all. Bless his sweet soul, may his family find comfort in knowing how much he meant to his friends and classmates.

I'm so saddened to hear this. How fortunate we were to have seen him and visited with him at the reunion. He was a real trooper to have made that trip. Little do we all know from day to day. Mine and Clyde's condolences go out to his family. He was a good guy!

Jerry was definitely one of a kind, he will be greatly missed. He loved his Class of 1965, I think Sue said he never missed a class reunion and somehow he made our 57th, we were ALL shocked to see him, he told us he could stay home and be sick, or, he could come see his class mates and be sick.

I attended Jerry's service yesterday. It was very heartwarming to the see and hear from the
community, the impact that Jerry's life had on the people he knew here in McKinney. I met
his son, David, at the visitation Thursday evening. I could immediately see Jerry in him with
some of his mannerisms. I know Jerry was proud of his son, David's strength and character
at this time in his life was admirable. David and I talked quite a bit about the time Jerry and I
were friends in Monahans, band, Boy Scouts, visiting at each other's home. Even though I
did not graduate with the 65 Loboes, David was thankful I came. Jerry was my friend from
Monahans, I am glad I was able to say good bye and meet his son and wife. Jerry, you ran a
good race, now rest.

Thanks for sharing with us Douglas about Jerry's service. You may not have graduated with us but you are still a part of the class of 65. Hopefully you will try to make our next reunion
