Rita Kay Wilson Mosley
January 20, 1947- September 4, 2021

Rita Wilson Mosley passed away in Corsicana, Texas, after a lengthy illness which she bravely battled for many years.  She retired from The University of Texas in 2007 and had been a resident at the Village at Heritage Oaks in Corsicana.

While at the Village, Rita was featured in the September 2021 CorsicanaNOW Magazine.  Here is an excerpt:

Raised in Monahans, Texas, Rita Mosley learned to cook from her mother and grandmother.  "We raised our own cows, pigs, chickens, gardens and milking cows.  You learn to cook when you live on a farm and there are eight kids."

Rita shared a favorite recipe and said, "I like to bake for Village residents, friends, the dialysis staff and family.  My favorite is banana pudding."

My heart breaks to hear of Rita's passing.  We had a special friendship during our time at MHS, and I have so many memories of her to hold dear.  I know she added much positives to our world.  She will be missed. My dear friend, Rita, you still live in my heart.  Sherry

I remember Rita being full of fun and laughter. I couldn't believe she would go to the Prom with me when we were juniors. But that night was filled with just a whole lot of fun. She always had a "loud' smile." My sympathy to her family. Fond memories with all my brothers and sisters in the Class of '65.

My fondest memories of Rita were around the volleyball court. I admired her because she played the game with heart. I loved her smile and funny comments on just about everything. Such a fun loving girl.

May God rest your soul in peace, Rita.

Some of my best High School memories were made with Rita.

She had a beautiful soul and a wonderful personality, always laughing and so full of life.  Sending our deepest sympathies and prayers to her family
