Ronald died as the result of an oilfield accident in September 1969 shortly after marrying.  Ronald and I were best friends from the 4th grade till the time of his death.  He and I hunted and fished together all through high school and shot on the same 4H rifle team, taking second in the State Competition.  Ronald had a sense of humor that made all around him laugh and enjoy his presence.  I recall one history test during our sophmore year when Ronald had not read one page of the assigned chapters we were being tested on so he wrote a two page essay on why he liked peanut butter.  Coach Martin thought it was so funny that he gave Ronald an even 70 to keep from failing him.  The world was a little better with Ronald in it and he is still missed more than 40 years after his departure.  Ray Cooper
