Carolyn Marie Tinkham

Mrs. Carolyn Marie Tinkham passed away peacefully after a long illness surrounded by her children Tuesday January 18, 2022.

Born in Monmouth, IL in 1949, Carolyn retired from Monmouth College before making Aiken County, SC her home. She was a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church. She loved her church family. She enjoyed cooking, crafting, playing cards with the family, and especially making hand made cards, she was known to spend hours perfecting them. She loved her family deeply and will be remembered for being a devoted wife, and a caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her father, Roy E. Hartley.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Tinkham; mother, Gloria M. Hartley; sons, David C. (Susan) Tinkham Jr. of Carrollton, TX, and Douglas K. (Deeanna) Tinkham of Sudbury Ontario, Canada; brother, Richard (Mary Margaret) Hartley of Laura, IL; grandchildren, Jacob (Brittany) Tinkham of Abingdon, IL, and Cydney Tinkham of Sudbury Ontario, Canada; and great grandchildren, Jaxon Tinkham, Aris Tinkham, and Paige Johnson.

Services for Mrs. Carolyn Marie Tinkham will be announced at a later date.
