Paul Lester passed away on January 22, 2007, his mother's birthday.  He had lived in San Ysidro California for over 20 years. He passed away at Glenbrook Skilled Nursing Home in Carlsbad California where he had been suffering from metastatic tonsillar cancer.
He was cremated with his ashes being returned to Biggsville Illinois.
Paul had served in the Navy and was honorable discharged. While in the service, he received an award for rescuing a drowning girl.
He had married Madeleine Rahn and had one daughter.
He was survived by his daughter Jennifer and his sister Suzie.
