Cheryl Rule (Bragd)

Cheryl Rule Bragd      January 18, 1949 - February 4, 2018

Cheryl Rule Bragd, 69, of Roseville, IL passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday February 4, 2018, after a valiant fight with pancreatic cancer.  Cheryl was born on January 18, 1949, in Monmouth, IL the daughter of the late Raymond and Sherry Rule. 

Cheryl married James Bragd on November 11, 1972, and they were blessed with three children that she leaves to cherish her memory, Heather (Dean) Lodwick of Brooksville, FL, Christopher Bragd of Good Hope, IL, and Kelly Bragd (Tony Trego) of Monmouth, IL; her sister, Rhonda (Patrick) Polite of Granger, IN, and her Aunt, Rosemary Rasmussen of Granger, IN.  She also leaves behind her four precious grandchildren: Drake and Averee Lodwick of Brooksville, FL; and Regan and Ryker Trego of Monmouth, IL.  Cheryl will also be greatly missed by her nephews Ryan Polite (Holly McCreary) of Granger, IN and Sean (Amber) Polite of South Bend, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, grandparents, and former husband.

Cheryl worked at Sears, Walmart, and was currently a prep cook for the Monmouth-Roseville School System.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Roseville, IL where she enjoyed going on church mission trips.  Cheryl participated in and had been a team captain for Relay for Life.  Family and friends meant everything to Cheryl.  They were the foundation of her loving, kindhearted, and generous spirit.  She enjoyed spending time with the grandkids, going to concerts, stamping, going to ballgames, traveling, gardening, or just sitting on her porch listening to her wind chimes, fountains and her favorite music.  The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Geoffroy and his staff, as well as OSF Hospice for their wonderful care.

Memorial Service will be Friday February 9, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at the Wise Family-Hoover Hall Funeral Home Monmouth, IL.  Visitation will be Thursday eve February 8, 2018, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Wise Family Funeral Home Monmouth, IL.  Cremation rites have been accorded and burial will be at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the OSF Hospice and/or WIAR (Western Illinois Animal Rescue).  Please sign the online guestbook at www.wisefamilyfuneral.com.   Wise Family-Hoover Hall Funeral Home Monmouth, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
