Mr. Brian A. Briggs of Grand Haven 

Brian A. Briggs, age 41, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, June 16, 2011, at his home. He was born December 7, 1969, in Muskegon, Jerry and Bonnie (Goforth) Briggs. He graduated Montague High School in 1988 and had attended Ferris State University and Western Michigan University. Brian was a talented artist and worked as a tattoo artist for Area 51 Tattoos of Muskegon, with his life-long friend, Jeff Bates, for 10 years. He always enjoyed drawing and music. Brian lived every day of his life for his son, Caleb, the sunshine of his life. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Briggs Jr., and grandparents, Howard & Hazel Macy and Raymond & Thelma Goforth.

SURVIVORS: A son, Caleb; his parents, Jerry & Bonnie Briggs ; Caleb's mother, Jennifer Heath; a sister, Paula (Terry Jr.) Armstrong, a niece, Taylor Erin Armstrong; aunts, Jackie (Howard) Wing, Janet Macy, Judy A. Joseph and Deb (Chuck) Wilson; uncles, Jerry (Raelene) Goforth and Ed Goforth; several cousins; a host of friends.

MEMORIAL GATHERING: Sunday, July 3, 2011, from 1:00-4:00 PM, at Algot Johnson American Legion Post #69, 803 E. Colby St., Whitehall.
