Frank sat next to me in home room on my first day at Montclair High and his friendly smile went straight to my heart. We met again at the last reunion and I told him this story.
Frank was a great football player and even better friend.. He rescued me once after school when I was about to be beaten by a group of school mates who wanted revenge for a thug who I had knocked out for goosing one of our cheerleaders. It was the two of us against six who backed down after Frank showed up and supported me. I never forgot it and sorry we did not meet before his death. He was a friend to all. Richard Marshall (Dick)
