Married in 1960. Husband was a race car driver by hobby and later became advertising manager for RCA which enabled us to travel for his work. Divorced in the early 70's. I went to work for a police department which was a whole new education. Years later, quit ( very difficult as I had seniority and stability) and became an insurance agent and did that for 25 years . I'm a cancer survivor which made me so grateful for each day and year after. It also opened my eyes and I started to travel at least once a year. Went to Hong Kong and Thailand. Took a Panama Canal Cruise which covered 7 other countries. Ireland this past year. England, Aruba and throughout the years several other places. (Name droppers) Ha. When I retired several years ago I took up Piano lessons and art. I go to a few art classes a week(you wouldn't be able to tell) and piano once a week. I go to a gym a few times a week but still have to fight the battle of the bulge. Oh dear, I think the bulge won. OH WELL! Isn't that nice that we can have that attitude now. Why couldn't we 20 years ago?? Oh yeah, it's called maturing. My son and his wife live outside of Chico. My two grandchildren and great grandson live in northern California. I just cancelled a cruise to the New England States because my cat of 14 years is in renal failure and I won't leave her. I'm also an animal lover but haven't had a dog since giving up a house. I always worked too many hours to have a dog. Life is good. A few good friends, my hobbies the TV and books. Simple life but great.

Rosalie always seemed so lively and full of life that the news of her death really shocked me.  Even at our age it is still difficult to hear of one of ours passing.  In addition our school lives , Rosalie and I were confirmedtogether and also belonged to BBG/s (a fraternal organization from the Bnai Brith for youth).  As adults we were able to commesurate with each other about stuff in our lives.

 

Rest in peace dear friend.  May your memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved you.
