Anjela Swank was taken from us far too early, a victim of murder on December 7th, 2001 when she was only 19 years old. She was survived by her wonderful family, and her mother Dot.
I love Anjela so much!! Even today I think of her as my silly, down to earth good friend. We had great times from 8th grade to just a few months before she was taken away from us. She will always be remembered!!!
Anjela was such a bright girl. She was funny and said things that were ALL original Anjela. Some of her quotes make stop and smile every now and then. She was a great companion in the car when going to see our "Little Buddies" at Flowers Elementary. Her little buddy's name was Shondrika, and she talked about her all the time. Even though we lost touch since High School, her loss hurt me badly. I will never forget where I was, or what I was doing when I got the news....But I will most imporatantly not foget her life, spirit, and goodness. God Bless her.
I first met Anjela on the Goodwyn Jr. High School Dance Team. She was a great dancer. When I think of Anjela, I think of her up beat attitude. Rest in Peace Anjela!
I have known Angela since Jr. High School when she was on dance team and I cheered. She has always had a positive outlook on life. I can still remeber passing her in the hallway at Lee and she always had a smile on her face saying hello to everyone the passed. She was such a beautiful girl and I hate what happened to her. God bless her and may she rest in peace!
This was a tough one. She was a great friend to be around and always upbeat and positive. I'll never forget that day. Adam Bess and I drove up from college at Troy to attend the visitation. Seeing that video was like she meant to leave it. We all loved her as a friend, and miss her anytime she is thought of.
I had known Anjela since about 2nd grade, at Forest Avenue. We were friends ever since then, I got to know her very well and we had out little "forest avenue clan" Anjela, I, Stephani Gorman, Brenda Momberger and a few other girls. We were inseperable....hanging at the library after school, waiting for Dot and Chat to come. That whole family was immaculate .....
even though we grew apart when I left Baldwin and moved to Goodwyn. Even then and especially at Lee, every time I would see Anjela she would always be smiling and would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. I absolutely cannot believe what happened to her, how this monster took such a beautiful promising young life away from us, but I tell you what, she is up in heaven doing her thang and making everyone up there smile. Not a single day goes by that I don't think about her. I love you Anjela...this is just a few of the words I wish I could have said to you when you were alive. You are truly missed.
Anjela was a beautiful person and a dear friend. She was taken from this world way too early and she will be missed and always remembered. When I think back on my highschool days, I always think of Anjela. She had a personallity that could make all of us smile.
