James Andrew Warren, age 73, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023. Drew is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jessie J. and Kathryn Floyd Warren, George E. and Lela Osteen Rutherford; and his parents, James Altshelter Warren and Rebecca Louise Rutherford Warren.

His sisters, Lela Kathryn Mann and Mae Elizabeth "Betsy" Warren, survive him.

A member of the Sidney Lanier Championship football teams (1966, 1967, and 1968), Drew grew up in Montgomery. After graduating from Sidney Lanier he enlisted with the Marines. Drew earned a private pilot license. He was a registered professional land surveyor and civil engineer.

Drew will be laid to rest near his family members in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.

Drew was a U.S. Marine, a Registered Professional Land Surveyor, (RPLS), and owned his own business for many years. He also had a private pilot's license and had his Private Security Guard license. Drew was proud to have played football on Lanier's championship football teams. He loved his friends and family and had a kind heart and a great sense of humor. He will be dearly missed.
