In Memory Of Our Poets

Stan J Trott - Class Of 1968

Stan J Trott, March 22, 1950 - August 20, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stan on August 20th. Born in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1950, he lived a full life of 75 years.

As a young man, Stan first made a name for himself through a tremendously successful high school athletic career, collecting a remarkable string of state titles and countless awards. He then moved on to the University of Tennessee, where he excelled in the collegiate football program as a wide receiver. After graduation, he concluded his athletic career playing professional football for three years with the Green Bay Packers.

After his football career, Stan transitioned to the world of transportation logistics, rising to the level of managing director for both Roadway and FedEx. Through his work, he was able to travel across the country, improving every facility he oversaw.

Stan’s life was devoted to tireless service.

Professionally, he served to build strong foundations for the success of every company he worked for. In corporations employing thousands, he consistently rose above the rest and built a reputation as someone who was intensely dependable, hardworking, and tirelessly committed to the mission.

Spiritually, he readily served with an ear always listening for God’s call. A devout Christian all his life, Stan travelled to serve the mission of his church both locally and internationally. His thoughts dwelt on God’s plan every day of his life. Undoubtedly, he now serves joyfully in the kingdom of Heaven.

But most evident to any who knew him, Stan was foremost committed to serving his family. He made endless sacrifices to provide for their health, safety, and security. There is no better measure for a man than the well-being of his family, and their health and happiness today rest in no small part upon his tireless work and the strong moral example he provided.

He is survived by his wife, Beth, of 34 years, his children, Alexander Trott, Shannon Trott, and Stephanie Gil Singer, and his grandchildren, Joseph Trott, Paisley Patrick, Ella, and David Gil.

While his family remains on Earth, he is making a home for us in Heaven, preparing our place for when we will be reunited after life.

The family invites you to celebrate his life by joining us at Sinclair's East on Sunday, September 7th, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
