Kindergarten Posted Wednesday, April 15, 2009 09:28 PM I don't know about the rest of you, but I think we had a great time in Kindergarten. I remember being scared to death to use the bathroom, but after I got past that initial hurdle, the other stuff was really neat. At Shannon we made huge gold colored lollypops, a few times since then I've had specialty pops that tasted like I remember that one tasting. We watched chickens hatch, for a town girl that was awe inspiring, I remember actually putting that puzzle together in my head, egg - chicken - we eat chicken, this is a baby chicken, wow! HA. I also remember those blow up letter people and they each had a song. My favorite was S-man, he had a cape I think, and I thought he had the best song... but I also thought he was 'my' letter, (for Schoenbeck!) I was the last person in the class to get the "can spell your last name star". Hey, Schoenbeck was tough! Ms. Heinz (Mrs. Bell) was great. I had my first date in Kindergarten. Terry Shadwick took me to a movie. He made me a macaroni necklace and I ate it. How romantic! Did you guys at Carpenter do the same kinds of things? Did you have blow up letter people?

RE: Kindergarten Posted Sunday, June 7, 2009 06:02 PM I totally remember the yellow bathtub! One of the most popular places in the room. As far as the letter people I preferred Mr. M (with a munching mouth). My chemistry kids call me Mr. M.

RE: Kindergarten Posted Monday, July 27, 2009 06:51 PM I did not go to kindergarden here. However, in May Eric and I went to Shannon to visit the kindergarden classroom to decide which school our kids would be attending. Mrs. Harms has a bathtub in her room that they can sit in and read. In case all of you are wondering if the letter people are still there the answer is ..........YES. They hang from the ceiling. I remember Mrs. Stokesbury. She scarred me. Didn't she always have a bun in her hair? |
