Ginny Lynn Cook Breslow, age 31, of Alpharetta, Georgia and formerly of Monticello, died on Thursday, August 16, 2001 at Northside Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia, following complications during childbirth. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 o’clock Friday morning, August 24, 2001 at the St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Monticello with interment at the Oakwood Cemetery, Rev. Jerry Egel will officiate at the services. Friends may call after 4:00 o’clock on Thursday, at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello. Surviving are her husband, Scott, and daughter, Samantha Ginny Breslow, her parents, John and Rose Cook, Monticello, a sister, Stephanie ( Pat) Donaldson, Alpharetta, Georgia, 3 brothers, Vic (Marcia) Kray, Johnny (Patrice) Cook, both of Monticello, Travis (Sherri) Cook, Fairfax, her God Parents, Denny and Grace Yeager, Iowa City, and Nieces and Nephews, Parker Kray, Erika, Krystal and Cole, Donaldson, Alyssa, Micaela, Hannah, Corina Cook, and many Aunts and Uncles and Cousins. Ginny Lynn Cook was born May 11, 1970 at John McDonald Hospital, Monticello, Iowa. She was the daughter of John and Rose Rieniets Cook. She received her education in the Monticello Community Schools graduating with the class of 1989. Ginny then attended Southeastern Academy in Kissimmee, Florida. She was employed at National Car Rental at the Cedar Rapids Airport and later at Budget Rental in Iowa City and Cedar Rapids. She was currently employed at Mastec Technologies in Roswell, Georgia as an Operations Manager. Ginny Lynn Cook and Scott Breslow were married March 3, 2001 at Helen, Georgia. Ginny was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Monticello. She was baptized there on December 13, 1975 and confirmed her faith on May 24, 1987. Ginny loved the outdoors and country living. Growing up she enjoyed track and cross country at school and ball games and bike riding with her brothers and sisters. Ginny was loving, generous and caring, always thinking of others first. Her smile would light up a room.
