Strange how the 'unsaid' speaks louder than words...
How a horrific death snuffed out a vibrant young special woman. I will never 'get over' her murder. I still look for Cathy when I return home (to Monti), I still reach for the phone to call her with a funny story or 'just because'. Cathy and I were so close growing up that our parents always joked that we were twins and people often called us by each other's name. Cathy went on family vacations with us. We were so often 'in trouble' for giggling-at the dinner table, after lights out, all the time. Mom commented recently that she hadn't heard me really laugh-since Cathy...I thought about that and know I need to get on with my life, that mine didn't end with hers, but a big part of me did die too. I will never stop missing my friend and agonizing over the tragedy that took her from life. She should be here today, a mother, a daughter, sister, a friend, aLIVE. I miss you Cathy...You are still loved, and still in all our hearts.

It is not fair that someone so young was taken away from us so tragically. This should have never happened in our small town of Monticello. Your vibrance was taken away so early.
