Steven Lynn Kuper

January 18, 1971 ~ January 25, 1993

Funeral services for Steven Kuper were held Thursday, January 28 at St. John Lutheran Church, rural Monticello, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Monticello.  The Rev. Dale Glawatz officiated at the services.

Steven L. Kuper of Scotch Grove died Monday, January 25, as a result of a farming accident near Scotch Grove.

Steven Lynn Kuper was born January 18, 1971 at Monticello, the son of Galen Kuper and Anna Avis Kuper.  He received his education in Monticello, where he graduated from the Monticello High School with the class of 1989.  He was a farmer and worked for the Jacobs Farms, and lived his lifetime in the Scotch Grove area.  He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his parents; a brother, Michael A. Kuper; a sister, Lori A Kuper of Cedar Rapids, and a special friend, Jenny Wilcox of Monticello.

Also surviving are his paternal grandparents, August and Millie Kuper of Scotch Grove and his maternal grandparents, Floyd and Mary Avis of Coggon.

Casket bearers were Aaron First, Jay Appleby, Alan Jacobs, Rob Paulsen, Ted Kraus, and Dave Schlarmann.

The Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be given to the Agricultural Scholorship Fund at Monticello High School.
