Renee was a good friend since elementary school. wild and crazy like me we used to dance outside on the snowbanks at Iona school wearing only our ballet clothes until the janitor came out to yell at us! hated afternoon hebrew school in the same way. her death changed my life drastically, and if any good could come out of such a tragic situation, her illness inspired me to live each day to the fullest with no regrets. Thanks for that, Renee
I remember her red hair always the only thing more excited than she was. Her passion for life remains a stong memory even though our times together were brief. Marlene as I have been gifted with the appreciation that each morning we wake, the day, whether good or bad, is a blessing. May your soul be enjoying the fruits of another lifetime, all my love to you Renee.
When I first came to Iona, Renee was the most welcoming and friendly soul in school. The fact I only spoke a few words of English did not matter to her. She introduced me to the teachers and her friends. I always remembered her kindness, her bubbly personality, entirely positive attitude and ......the hair. Finding this site made me very happy until I scrolled down to Renee. Then, after 40 years, without being able to think about it much, I could not hold back my tears. A part of my chilhood I never thought about just disappeared. The world just became a little bit more sad.
Renée was a classmate both at Iona Avenue School and at West Hill High School. Her flaming red hair matched her vivacious personality. When she smiled the world was a fantastic place.
Despite us not being ultra close friends, when I heard of her passing years ago, I was devastated. The world needs MORE people like Renée, not less!
Renée, we miss you dearly, but we will always remember you with the fondest of sentiments.
My memories of Renee go back as far as childhood, summer camp and then WHHS...Our moms were friends...bridge and golf buddies and more...Renee always made me smile...even when I cried and begged to leave camp...she was my strong -hold...Life is precious ...as were all those amazing times I spent with her..Renee..I know you are doing G-D's work "up there" ..and that you were chosen....All my love..I am a better person for having known you....xo!
I never got as close to Renee, though I knew then that she was a fun type of person that I'd want to have as a trusting friend.
I do remember her fondly especially the smile that would light up a room, and I am truly sad to know of her passing away, Renee may no longer be with us, but her smile remains.
My deepest sympathies for the family and a private prayer for peaceful voyage ahead.
