From (Ernest) Wayne King.  This is the obituary for my Aunt Winifred.

Helen Winifred King Rowe, 94, of Knox, died early Friday morning, Jan.
25, 2013, at the Golden LivingCenter in Clarion.

Born June 21, 1918, in Moon Township, Allegheny County, she was the
sixth child and oldest daughter of the late Leroy Porter King, Sr. and
Mabel B. Blackstone King.

Winifred grew up in Moon Township, where she attended public schools.
She graduated from Slippery Rock State Teachers College in 1940 and taught in
Brackenridge public schools from 1940 to 1943. She then taught in Moon
Township from 1943 until her retirement in 1972.

In November of 1945, she and her parents moved to the Knox area.

Winifred was a life member of the Clarion County Retired Teachers
Association and the National Education Association along with being a
member of the National Retired Teachers Association and the National
Wildlife Association.

She was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of
Clarion, where she at one time taught children's Sunday school, directed
the Junior Youth activities, directed vacation Bible school and served
as church treasurer and on the church governing board.

On Sept. 16, 1977 she married Laird Calvin Rowe, who preceded her in
death on Aug. 6, 1983.

Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, step-children and their
families.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by
five brothers and a sister, Leroy P. King Jr., Oliver O. King Sr., the
Rev. H. Wayne King Sr., Calvin G. King, William B. King Sr. and Ursula
Rodgers.

Honoring Mrs. Rowe's request, there will be no calling hours or service.

Interment will take place in the Emlenton Cemetery. The Derrick: Jan.
