I remember the day Bob came up to me after class and asked me to go to the  "Junior Prom" with him.We did go and we had a good time, double-dating with Ed Miller (class of '60) and his date. We went to dinner afterwards at the original GreenBrier Restaurant, which used to be across Haddon Ave., on the same side as the race track, I think. The next day we went water-skiing.

I remember Bob as a very thoughtful, sort of shy young man. And, I do remember having a great evening on that first date of my life. I bumped into him about 15 years later at the Echelon Mall one day. We had a good time catching up on each other's lives. Little did we know that would be the last time. I guess we never really appreciate how important each day is and how precious every chance encounter can be with an old friend.
