IN LOVING MEMORY: Bob very bravely fought Leukemia for 5 yrs. Amazingly his sense of humor remained intact throughout his many, many, treatments. Several of his nurses and even his Doctor attended his funeral because of their admiration of his courage. He had been an Art teacher in the Cherry Hill Public School system for 35 yrs. and spent many of those years coaching basketball. He spoke often of his fond memories of his classmates and his years at Moorestown High School. I would like to have him remembered at his 50th reunion and remembered with a smile because I cannot remember a day that he did not give someone a reason to smile or laugh. Janet Wilkins

Bob was a good friend, especially later after high school to Bob and to me. I remember the last time we both saw him was at our son, Sean's, basketball game at the Coles school where he taught art in Cherry Hill. At that time he said he'd been teaching for 18 years there and really enjoyed what he did. He bemoaned the fact that he didn't get to spend more time with each of his students because art was an elective course and the students only came to his class once a week, not giving too much time to build a relationship with them. He seemed to love those kids.
We sure remember Bob as a unique, caring and creative friend.

Rest assured, if everyone reacted to Bob's antics like I did, he is remembered with a huge smile. I think he would have gotten a lifetime achievement award had the TV audience been lucky enough to see him entertain. He had a great way of expressing his feelings (which often matched mine) in a way that made the madness less hurtful. Being rather too serious myself, he was a breath of fresh air and the life of the party.
