Obituary for Kathy M. Baumgarten

Kathleen "Kathy" M. Baumgarten, age 74, of Morristown, died on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at St. Lucas Care Center, Faribault.

A family memorial will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are being completed by the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.

Kathy was born on March 21, 1942 in Wright County, MN. She was adopted by Roy and Elsie Baumgarten of Morristown in 1945, along with her brother, Bruce and sister, Kendra.
Kathy attended Crocus Hill country school and graduated from Morristown High School in 1960. In 1973, Kathy, Bruce and Kendra were contacted by a member of their birth family and were able to be re - acquainted at a family reunion.

Kathy adored her family and had a special passion for dogs. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and pets, listening to county music, and motorcycling. Kathy loved holidays and cooking and sewing. 

She is survived by her daughter, Julie (Hruska) (and Brad) Meister of Waterville; grandchildren, Natasha (and Dan) Choiniere of Bloomington and Trevor (and Brianna) Meister of Montgomery; brother, Bruce (and Lee) Baumgarten of Morristown; sister, Kendra Mitchell of Farmington; birth sisters, Gladys Biernat, Susan Newville, Mary Lehman, Jean Corr, and Elsie Gabriel; birth brothers, Eugene Kost and David Kost; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Elsie Baumgarten; husband, Dale C. Miller; her birth sister, Anna Marie Boktovy; and her birth brother, David Heen.
