
Brenda J. Worob of Morrisville died Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at Kindred Hospital in Philadelphia. She was 50.
Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Worob had been a Morrisville resident for more than 35 years, moving here from Parkland.
Mrs. Worob was a legislative assistant in 2004 for the former State Senator Joseph Conti, and from 2007 to 2009 for State Senator Charles Mcllheny.
She served as a Republican Committeewoman for more than 30 years. She also served a two-year term on the Morrisville School Board, and as it's treasurer for four years; served on the Youth Aid Panel; was a member of the Morrisville Taxpayers Association; and coached the high school cheering squad for two years.
She also was a foster mother, and hosted two foreign students from France.
Mrs. Worob ran many events in Morrisville, including Patriots Day.
She was an enthusiastic aerobic exercise instructor for more than 20 years, and enjoyed long walks on the beach at Wildwood Crest.
Most of all, Brenda enjoyed, and loved being with her family and friends.
She was the daughter of the late Robert Ahlum.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Stephen J. Worob; her two children, Jenny Lynn and Stephen J. Worob Jr., both at home; her mother, Beatrice (Bleam) Ahlum of Bristol; her two brothers, Robert C. Ahlum and his wife, Robin of Mason, Ohio, and Rick C. Ahlum and his wife, Peggy of Palmyra, N.J.; two sisters, Barbara 'Cookie' Zito and her husband, Peter of Palmyra, and Bonnie McDaniel and her husband, Bill of Morrisville; and several nieces and nephews.
