Christian "Chris" Reigle

MORTON – Christian C. “Chris” Reigle, 51, of Morton, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at his home.

Chris was born on January 11, 1971, in Arlington Heights, Ill., to Robert and Dianne (Fisher) Reigle.

Surviving are his siblings, Kelly (Jason) Scarfe of Morton, and Rob (Jen) Reigle of North Richland, Texas; four nieces and nephews, Jake and Ava Scarfe and Hanna and Molly Reigle.

He was preceded in death by both parents.

Chris was enjoying his work as a data-analysts at Caterpillar at the time of his passing.

Chris was a 1989 graduate of Morton High School, where he was known for his football career (center/lineman) as well as being the scariest opponent on the court for the MHS tennis team (i.e. center/lineman). He completed his bachelor’s degree at Millikan University in 1993. He soon moved to the East Coast and started his career in the telecommunications industry, eventually, finding his way back to his favorite city, Chicago. Chris had a passion and love for Chicago and his favorite sports team, the Bears. He developed life-long friends there and to this day, you can walk into Pizano’s on State Street and they remember him and his large tips fondly.

A fiercely loyal friend and lover of all animals, especially those of the Labrador retriever type, Chris showed his loyalty and love in a way that made a life-long impression on many and will not come to an end with his death. To his “brothers” that have experienced the loss of two other great men in their brotherhood, Matt Campbell and Jeff Wampler, I am sure this loss is beyond compare. My brother loved Campbell and Wamps and kept their spirit alive through story, so those who loved them never would forget. I ask that everyone who loved him do the same for Chris.

Let us remember Chris for his unwavering loyalty, friendship, humor and dizzying ability to recall stories from our past. Hold on to those memories and hold on to the memories of Chris. Know that his love for you all will never come to end, even if he is not present daily in your life.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Chris’ Life will be held at from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Knights of Columbus in Morton. All who love Chris are welcome!

We ask that memorial donations be made to T.A.P.S., 100 Taps Lane, Pekin, IL 61554, a no-kill animal shelter on behalf of Chris Reigle.
