Obituary: MORTON -- Colby Leigh Thurman, 23, of 221 N. Third Ave. died at 10:40
p.m. Friday, May 27, 1994, at her residence. She was born Feb. 10, 1971, in
Peoria to Jerry C. Thurman and Glenda K. Thurman. Surviving are her parents,
both of Morton; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Daughtry of
Gallatin, Tenn.; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Stokes of Morton;
and one sister, Mrs. Sam (Lisa L.) Grimm of Morton. A second-year student at
Illinois Central College, she was a cashier at Kroger's in Morton for the past
five years. She was a member of Morton Christian Church. Services will be at 10
a.m. Wednesday at Ludwig- Rohrschneider Mortuary. The Rev. Kenneth E. Schultz
will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
Burial will be in Hirstein Cemetery.Memorials may be made to a charity of the
donor's choice.
