Yes! Attending Reunion
Comments:

Like everyone else, I can't believe its been 20 years. It seems like two lifetimes but it can't be 20 years! I rode my motorcycle to my parent's twenty year reunion and left for the Army just a few months later.

It is fun to read everyone's postings. I see there are a few others that are getting a little thin on top.

About a year after graduation there was a series of events that sent me on the trajectory to the present. The first (and most important) was my car breaking down outside of Ellensburg. I called Doug Guard to see if I could crash in his dorm room for a day or two. He said yes but there was birthday party that he was attending that night. Little did I know that I was crashing the birthday party of my future wife but it was love at first sight. I'd only planned to stay in the dorms for a couple days but they turned into months.

The next significant event was the day that Guard told me he was joining the Army. It was only a matter of days before me and Wes Gobea had signed up to go with him. I've lost touch with both of them but it looks like I'll be able to catch up with Guard through this site. The last I heard they were both still in the Army.

Military missions in foreign lands fueled my passion for travel. We've continued to travel and I can't wait for the boys to experience other cultures and explore the planet.

By the time I got out of the Army, I craved knowledge. It took me a while to get out from under the 0.89 GPA that I earned the first time I was at BBCC. I don't know how many others had to beg to get into BBCC, but there can't be many. I had to convince the board that I'd changed during the previous four years and that they should let me back in.

After graduating from BBCC, Kerensa and I got married and headed for CWU. I earned my BS at Central and we headed to Oregon State for grad school. Kerensa earned her MBA and I earned my MS in Fisheries Science. Conley was born the week that I defended my thesis and the latest chapter of my life began.

We moved back up to Washington (E. Wenatchee) in 2004 and have been enjoying time with the family. We love everything outdoors and spend most of our time with soccer, baseball, swimming, fishing, biking, camping, hiking, or boating.

I wouldn't be where I am today without all the love and support that Kerensa have given me all these years.

School Story:

I don't remember much from school but here are a few before and after graduation...

After a track meet in Wenatchee, I was standing in line to order dinner and someone pointed out that I had TP hanging out the back of my sweats.

Shooting a hole in the floorboard of my work car.

Spending the summer of '89 attempting to flip on kneeboards.

Having my car break down outside of Ellensburg and calling Guard to see if I could crash in his dorm room for a day or two. I tagged along with Doug to a birthday party that night and met the love of my life on her 19th birthday.

Getting algae under the seats of Paul Landon's parent's Jeep Cherokee.

that was then... Cheesy basic training photo but it's the only one I could find of Guard, Gobea, and me together. If I remember correctly this was the weekend between basic training and jump school. Going from mullets to shaved heads was just the beginning...

that was then too... Jason Preston kneeboarding behind his truck. If I remember correctly Gobea learned to kneeboard that day.
