GASTONIA The brother of a 34-year-old woman shot to death three years ago is ready for the man who stands accused of her death to face justice, he said Monday.
Junior Ellis of Gastonia, brother of Crystal Ellis, said his family has been waiting for three years for this day to come.
The emotion of that never really left, Ellis said. Its been hard to deal with for three years and I think thats probably the same with the other families.
Ellis and other family members listened Monday to defense lawyers and prosecutors question a psychologist who evaluated the mental health of Keith Lavoris Hall. Hall faces four first-degree murder charges stemming from an August 2003 shooting in the Paradise Point neighborhood in Belmont.

Crystal and I were friends since elementary school. I loved this girl. I'll never forget her taking up for me when a bully wanted to beat my ass in the 7th grade. Crystall became my "unofficial bodyguard". Needless to say, that girl never bothered me again. I was so saddened to hear that Crystal had been killed. Crystal was the bomb!Greg Wunderlich
Crystal and I dated in 8th grade for awhile, and always remained friends through school. I only saw her once after high school, and we laughed about our experience. She will always be a part of what made me what I am today.Rest in Peace Crystal.
