DC/MD/VA

The states of Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia are home to 30 of the Class of 1960 alumni. After the 50th reunion Carolyn Gibson McHale decided that the alumni living in MD/VA/DC should get together and know one another. She established an email list of these class members and, taking the lead, suggested that the group meet in October. On Sunday Oct 24th, 8 of the members living within 50 miles of the DC area met at Clydes Restaurant in Chevy Chase MD for a cash bar get together. Spouses were encouraged to join us. We had a wonderful time talking, catching up on past years, and finding out what we are doing now.  We decided that the next meeting of this group will be in late April or early May and Karen Cunniff James invited us to her home. 

The 8 classmates who got together were Anne Dieffenbach Johnson (husband Jim), Carolyn Gibson McHale (husband John), Dorothy Buchhagen, Fred Wilson (wife Nancy), Janet Sharp, Karen Cunniff James, Phyllis Barson (husband Stephen Solomon), and Sandra Burr Anderson (husband Gary).

Of the 30 classmates, there are two for whom we have no information other than they live in Maryland or Virginia. We sure would like to hear from John Edwards and Francis Ward.

We are looking forward to our next gathering and hoping that more of the group will be able to attend!
