Three years ago this summer I lost my best friend, Mark. He put up a courageous battle against Mesothelioma but in the end lost to it as most do. Fellow alums, Steve Lacy, Jim Ormerod and I went to Drake with him and though we pledged different houses, we stayed close and hung out often! I always stayed in touch with Mark as he moved between Arlington Heights and Atlanta following an incredibly successful career selling inventory management software. He had two beautiful chlldren whom he adored. He was an amazing person who's loyalty and friendship was never-ending. I'm guessing those who knew him at PHS remember him as a rather quiet person who was into his cars and sports. But his sales training served him well as he became a great conversationalist and was always quick with the right words to say in almost any situation. I miss him a lot and think about him often.
