Karen was a beautiful and strong sister who was always there when we needed her. Karen had a deep love of life and family, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She had a passion for art and was an accomplished graphic designer/ artist. She loved cooking, gardening, and travel. Karen relished spending a quiet afternoon in the garden, relaxing in the NM sun with loved ones, enjoying a glass of wine. She was grateful for her many special friends in Santa Fe as well as for her lifelong friend, Claire Costello Vermillion of Nicasio. CA., a deep friendship that blossomed when they met in early childhood in Mt. Prospect, IL. Karen spent many years in the Occupational Therapy department at Christus St. Vincent Hospital, working tirelessly is support of her patients' recovery. Karen was a wonderful person, a fierce friend, a loving sibling and aunt who spread joy and kindness wherever she went. We will miss her beautiful soul. https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/santafenewmexican/name/karen-carley-obituary?id=38701932%26utm_source%3Dfacebook%26utm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_camp

I remember Karen all the way back to our days at St. Raymonds. Even then, she had a mature kindness towards others and a wonderful smile. Although we weren't close friends, I always had a respect for her - she had the real kind of class.

Hey, Mike Moore - I feel exactly the same way. There was something about her. And while we weren't close, either at St Ray's or at Prospect, just thinking about her puts a smile on my face. God Speed, Karen!
