Rest in peace, John.  My sister Kathy is Janet's good friend, and there have been many prayers of comfort, for you and your family for many years.  Your life changed how I live my life.  Thank you! Know that you really matterred to me.

Miss you John Boy. Had a great time at SIU, extending adolesence and defying alcholism,  with the McBrides and some of the other PHS crew, the Boll brothers, Bates, Schmidt,Accurso and a few others. Had great memories with John Golfing, playing hoops, softball, drinking, eating at Mary Lou's and other things that SIU was, for better or worse, known for. Excellent athlete, sensitive soul and good friend who left us too early.

I, too, have great memories of hanging with John.  Most of them are sporting-related: we both competed for  and first-line left wing position on the hockey team our senior year and we often enjoyed a round of golf together at The Peanut, a.k.a. Mt Prospect Golf Club.  I regret that we did not hang out much after we both graduated from SIU-C 1979, but being married can do that. I ran into John at the Wendy's on Hwy. 60/45 in Mundelein a couple of years after I tied the knot in 1985,  and we had a burger together.  Two weeks later, he callled me to see if I wanted to shoot some pool.  I declined as I said I had too many things to get done around my newly-purchased first housein MP.  He left this world soon thereafter, and I've missed him ever since.  In his memory, I renamed my annual Thanksgiving touch football game in his honor, and was blessed many years afterwards with the participation of many of his family members and their siblings.

Sorry to hear about John's passing at such a young age. John and I played hockey together, he taught me how to juggle and probly cheated me out of a small fortune playing poker.
