Christopher John Chris Hercules

Christopher John 'Chris' Hercules, 45, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 8:06 P.M. August 7, 2018 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born January 12, 1973 in Topeka, Kansas to John and Dee Ann (Phifer) Hercules.

Chris is survived by his parents, John and Dee Hercules of Mount Vernon, Illinois; brother, Stephen Nicholas Hercules of Mount Vernon, Illinois; nephews, Jordan and Treyton; and niece, Kaylee.

Mr. Hercules was preceded in death by his grandparents; twin brothers, Justin and Jason; and sister, Michelle Lynn Shafer.

Over the years Chris enjoyed music, fishing, and automotive work, but above and beyond anything else, he was a computer nerd. He loved every minute he spent repairing and building computers, at which he was quite accomplished. He worked as a cook for local restaurants and was a proud organ donor.
