Betsy Lunsford

Services for Betsy Lunsford, 33, of Lubbock, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with Jim Witcher and Gary Watkins officiating.

Cremation will be under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

She died on Monday, Feb. 19, 2001.

She was born on July 12, 1967, in Lubbock. She graduated from Muleshoe High School. She attended Angelo State University and Texas Tech. She graduated magna cum laude from Tech's Health Science Center School with a bachelor of science in nursing in 1999. She had been an employee of Covenant-Lakeside Medical Center for 10 years and was an oncology nurse. She was an active member with the New Hope AA.

Survivors include her mother, Frankie of Muleshoe; and two sisters, Sally Sams and Susan Decker, both of Lubbock.

The family suggests memorials to the Joe Arrington Cancer Center.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
