Donald John "Sig" SIGLEY (1958-2018) died peacefully on May 20, 2018. Surrounded by his loving family, his best friend since grade school, Ronnie Stevens of Pittsburgh, PA, and his faithful dog, Gus.

Donald is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Kim; his adored children, Don and Rachel (fiance;e Anthony Fernandez); his sister, Renee Sigley of Pittsburgh; his father's wife, Connie Sigley; mother- and father-in-law, Beverly and Richard Britton. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Kelly Diehl (Danny); neices, Ashley and Sara; sister-in-law, Tracy Leskanic (Larry); nephews, Luke and Seth; nieces, Grace and Hope. Donald was predeceased by his mother, Ronice Sigley; his father, Donald W. Sigley; and his brother, Ronald Sigley "Lil Sig".

He was born and raised in Munhall, PA. He graduated from Steel Valley High School in 1976. He then graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1982 with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology. After graduating from IUP, his lifelong dream of becoming a police officer came true. He was hired by the St. Petersburg Police Department in December of 1982. He was awarded the "Officer of the Year Award" in 1997. He retired from SPPD in 2008 with 25 years service. He served in the SPPD reserve unit from 2008 to 2017.

As an avid bicyclist, he would often ride his bike 25 or more miles daily. "Sig" was a very humble man. His favorite times were spent in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina. Sunday - "family day" was almost always spent grilling, surrounded by his family, his faithful dog, Gus, a good cigar and a glass of bourbon.
