Daniel Christopher Best, 22, of 1006 Kamerer Court, died Sunday, Jan 18, 2004 at his home. Services are 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan.22, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, 1931 Houser St. The Rev. Tom Parrott will officiate. Casket bearers are Josh Hazen, Ryan Herwig, P.J. Stauffer, Adam Hazen, Jake Ship and Dennis Zaehringer. Honorary casket bearers are Andrew Anderson and Ben Danner. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetary.

He was born Oct. 25, 1981, in Iowa City, the son of Fred and Holly Anderson Best.
He graduated from Muscatine High School in 2000 and attended Wartburg College.
He worked as a maintenance man at Luthern Homes and also cooked at the Missipi Brew.
He enjoyed sports of all kinds and liked being with his friends.
Survivors include his father, Fred Best and wife Audre of Wilton; his mother, Holly Best and husband Craig Plowman of Muscatine; three sisters, Kelly, Kile, and Kerrie Best, all at home; his maternal grandparents, Mildred Anderson and Dave and Nancy Plowman, all of Muscatine; his paternal grandparents, Mary Best of Janesville, Wis., and Richard and Sally Kerr of Muscatine; uncles and aunts, Mike and Janet Hazen, Paul and Heidi Anderson, Darrell best, barb Gausin, todd and Vickie Schmelzer, and mark and Melissa Plowman, all of Muscatine, Gary and Janet Sommers of Janesville and Jerry and Cheryl Kerr of Webb City, Mo.; and a great uncle, Walter Anderson of Downers Grove, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandfathers.
