Laveda K. Carlson, 79 of Muscatine, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Laveda’s name. Laveda Kay Ford was born on November 8, 1945 in Iowa, the daughter of Daniel and Helen (Call) Ford.  She was a graduate of Muscatine High School. Laveda was a homemaker.  She enjoyed watching movies-especially westerns, playing card games and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Laveda is survived by her son, Charles “Chuck” Carlson and wife, Sarah of Tipton; grandchildren, Daniel, Christopher and Mack; and one great grandchild, Dante; brother Daniel “Butch” Ford and wife Sherry of Muscatine; niece Wendy and great niece, Aubrey.

Laveda was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Helen Ford; niece, Mindy Jo and great nephew, Jordan.
