Dennis "T.G" Tietge Obituary

Dennis “T.G” L. Tietge, 78, of Muscatine passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at his home.  Per Dennis’ wishes there will be no visitation or services.   A memorial has been established for the Muscatine Humane Society.  Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine is caring for Dennis’ arrangements.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. 

Dennis L. Tietge was born on September 16, 1946 in Muscatine, Iowa the son of Russell Tietge and Eunice Bramble Tietge Brossart.  Dennis was a 1964 graduate of Muscatine High School.  He proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force from November 1966 until August 1970, including being stationed in Nha-Thang Vietnam.  Dennis owned and operated the Deep Rock Gas Station and Car Wash and the TG’s “Snowman” Snow Removal Service.   He also worked in construction, at the funeral home, and with HVAC businesses.  During his lifetime he lived many places including California, Mississippi, Louisiana, St. Louis, Indianapolis, and Melbourne Australia, in addition to his much beloved hometown, Muscatine.  Dennis enjoyed his time driving fast cars with the top down, riding motorcycles, boating, and enjoying good food and drinks with his friends. 

Dennis was the loving and devoted husband to Janice Hotz (who survives him) and a father to numerous spoiled dogs and cats throughout his lifetime. 

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ron Tietge.
